We keep our overhead low, but still have expenses related to planning and running the trips. Funds donated to our operating budget help us continue to offer mission trips to young people at reasonable costs while also covering our office expenses and meeting the needs of our full time staff.

Please note that occasionally we receive more support for one team member than is needed to cover his or her personal expenses. In these cases, we use the extra funds to help other team members on the same mission trip or to cover the cost of ministry supplies that will be used by the entire team.

The purpose of this fund is to help students who have a genuine heart for God and ministry, but need financial help to make an international mission trip possible.

Imagine putting pipe cleaners, foamy die cuts, a Koosh ball, or even colored paper in the hands of a child who has never seen stuff like that before. These supplies make lessons come alive for the kids. $3 per child will provide all the craft and game supplies needed for a week-long children’s program.

Donating frequent flyer miles is one of the least expensive, but most effective ways to help a young person serve overseas. Unfortunately, we are not able to take donations of small amounts of miles. The donation must be enough to cover an entire international ticket. The amount of miles varies from one airline to another. Depending on airline and location, some international flights can be purchased for as little as 35,000 frequent flyer miles. Details can be found in the frequent flyer section of any major airline’s website. If you would like to donate miles, please contact us to work out the details.

Global Encounters is pleased to be a supporter of Revolution Media’s “Rescue the Beauty” Kenya project! Their goal is to document the beauty of the Kenyan orphans through photography and videography and use their finished products to motivate other young people to become involved in making a difference.
