Passion4Christ is offering a $20 discount to all Global Encounters alumni! Details are posted on the Vision4Living website. In case you’re not familiar with the summit, it’s a Christian conference for singles age 20 and older – good preaching, fun theme dinners, great volleyball, fellowship with other dedicated Christians, and time to get alone with God. We love this year’s theme: missions!

Team Romania 2012!

Super excited about the schedule for the Romania team! Week 1: two kids’ programs, morning with Gypsy kids, afternoon with kids from a super poor area of town. Week 2: summer camp for street kids (we loved doing this last year!). Week 3: VBS sponsored by a church that uses it to encourage their own kids and as a community outreach. Want to join the team? Romania Prayer Timeline

Something new we are doing for the team this year is putting a prayer timeline on their prayer cards. Here’s the one for the Romania team. They have an awesome line up of ministry!

May 5 – Registration deadline. Pray that God lays this ministry on the heart of everyone He wants to have participate and that He would clear their calendars and provide the finances.
June 10-13 – Final preparations and finances
June 14-15 – Safe travel, no lost luggage, and on time flights
June 16 – Quick adjustment to the time difference and European culture
June 17-22 – Working with kids in Gypsy camps and slums. The team needs God’s love for these kids and the kids need open hearts to hear Truth. Many of them are not saved.
June 23 – Rest and relaxation for the team
June 24-28 – Summer camp for street kids. Many of these kids have been abandoned and abused. Pray for strength for the long days and ability to communicate around emotional barriers. Many of these kids also need salvation.
June 29-30 – Rest and relaxation for the team
July 1-4 – VBS in Deva. Health and energy! The team needs to rely on God’s strength to keep going. Pray for alertness to share the Gospel with kids who aren’t saved.
July 5 – Safe travel. The team is tired!
July 6-10 – The team is back home. Pray for rest, time with God, and sinking in of life-long lessons. Also pray that the work in Romania will bear long-lasting fruit.

Brandon: I left my heart in an orphanage in Mesa, Colombia…

Daniel D.: Colombia, the orphans, and the lemonade will forever be in my heart. It’s time to go home.

Elizabeth: Saying goodbye in Bogota. Seriously going to miss this team! Sad to say goodbye to our Colombian friends and the team. Team, you guys made it a great trip! Oscar and Monica, thanks for all your help!

Daniel C.: Fly home today. Amazing trip seeing the amazing hand of God.

Benjamin: The Colombian airport is a circus act

Marissa: Heading home tonight but I’m not quite ready to leave yet. Seriously going to miss the country.

Brandon: Half the team is gone…. Goodbyes are hard, but in Christ we can never say goodbye, only “see you later!”

Christina: Amazing time with my awesome sibs in Colombia. Dream trip and unforgettable. I left my heart in Colombia…

Kristi: Whatever Shakespeare said, parting is not sweet sorrow… *sigh* Cue the: hugs.tears.goodbyes. and the joy knowing we will meet again one day. Oh, the beauty of the body of Christ. Thank you, Jesus.
