About David:
David began international ministry in 2003 along with family, church, and community ministry beginning in 2001. He has worked on staff at Creation Science Institute for four years as well being on staff at Chapel Library, a printing ministry distributing Christian books and literature worldwide. He assisted in Children Institutes and Basic Seminars, staffing various camps from boys’ classes to military training. Currently, he is working towards his master’s degree in Biblical theology from Southern Theological Seminary to aid in his pursuit for full-time mission work. In his free evenings and on the weekends he enjoys street evangelism and ministering to the homeless downtown. He has assisted and served on mission teams in Ukraine, Russia, Romania, and South Africa, along with multiple trips to Mexico. David’s interest range from discussion of Biblical topics, playing football, and a wide array of other sports. Additionally, he enjoys serving in the kitchen to getting dirty doing physical labor.
David’s Perspective on International Ministry:
“In addition to the gathering as believers for worship of our Lord Jesus Christ, there is no greater investment of time and work than that of missions. I have seen most clearly the supremacy of God in missions such as when you see a family praying by faith for their next meal or being in a service and praying for the Spirit to open the eyes of the lost that they may know Him for His glory. One of my most cherished moments of life is whether it be sitting in a hut in the planes of Africa or in the jungle of Mexico and lifting up praises to the Lord. What a wonderful testimony of the truth of God’s Word spreading to His universal elect church. A desire for obedience of the commissioning call through short term trips is greatly rewarding, knowing the Gospel is traveling aboard and being proclaimed. I would encourage every believer to do some type of missions work.
The following quote by C.H. Spurgeon explains better than I can the passion I pray the Lord grants me for the lost: ‘Have you no wish for others to be saved? Then you are not saved yourself. Be sure of that. The saving of souls, if a man has once gained love to perishing sinners and his blessed Master, will be an all-absorbing passion to him. It will so carry him away, that he will almost forget himself in the saving of others. He will be like the brave fireman, who cares not for the scorch or the heat, so that he may rescue the poor creature on whom true humanity has set its heart. If sinners will be damned, at least let them leap to hell over our bodies. And if they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees, imploring them to stay. If hell must be filled, at least let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go there unwarned and unprayed for.’”
