About Daniel:
Daniel has been involved in international ministry since 2004 and family and teen ministry since 2001. He worked on staff with the Institute in Basic Life Principles in their home school, student, and administration departments for six and half years. Currently, Daniel is the administrative director of Vision4Living ministries. He has led missions teams to Russia, Peru, and Argentina. In addition to his interests in international ministry, Daniel enjoys Ultimate Frisbee, volleyball, sports, fishing, history, old-style photography, leadership development, and being around people.
Daniel’s Perspective on International Ministry:
Short-term international ministry not only offers the opportunity to invest in the lives of those in other countries, but it also allows you to have a spring board for discipling individuals on the team. I find that it opens the door for individuals to gain a perspective of the world around them and how much bigger it is than their back yard. It shapes their views and conviction on Christ’s mandate to “go ye unto all the world.” I know for myself it has allowed me to see how big and vast Christ’s Kingdom is and that His work goes way beyond my personal ministry or church. Many times it gives the opportunity for individuals to fellowship with believers in different cultures who think differently than they do. Yet, they get to see how we are all one in Christ. It stretches the individual and causes him to look unto Christ who is the author and finisher of his faith. It builds lasting fruit and reward as we obey Christ command to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.”
