About Christopher:
Christopher is an attorney in Northern California (general civil practice - litigation and transactions).  He has traveled to multiple countries, mostly in western Europe.  He has also traveled to Chiapas and South America for short-term mission work.  His interests are too many and varied to count; they include skiing, mountain biking, trail running, backpacking, ballet, choral and instrumental music, beekeeping, and a lot of other things.  Christopher’s favorite part of international missions is, in his own words, “Being on a team of dependable members, and supporting Christians with long-term commitment in the region.”
Christopher’s Perspective on International Ministry:
Jesus came that we might have life, and might have it more abundantly. I love pursuing abundant life, and sharing it with people who crave it. I love being on a team of solid people you can count on in an unpredictable environment. I live to discover the dazzling array of scenery and creatures and life God has put all over the globe, and to share that beauty with my Creator and the people He has put in my life. Â Nothing compares to the fun of playing soccer with kids in a third-world country, taking a sunrise run down a totally unfamiliar jungle trail, trying new food you had no idea existed (or old food you wished didn’t), or being a guest at the home of someone whose language you don’t know.
God’s love can thrive in any surroundings. Â I enjoy sharing that love across cultural lines. I love the warmth of the people of South America; I wish I knew Spanish so I could talk with them better. I like how foreign missions show us that we are ambassadors for Christ. Â They remove many of our normal physical and emotional supports, giving us the chance to learn what it means that He is with us always. Â The change of surroundings is disruptive, but helpfully so. Â It can be just what we need to shake off the weights that hold us back from running the race God has for us.
