Life in a Rainforest [tuesday]

This is the single.php page.

cute-girlToday we were in Maria Morelos. We split the team into two groups – one half did a children’s program at the church, while the other half installed filters. After breakfast, our hosts killed a chicken that they made into soup for us for lunch. Everyone said it tasted good, though I was too sick to eat any. That afternoon we went to to do another children’s program. About halfway through the program it started pouring down rain on us.  Yep, I guess we’re working in a rainforest! We all ran into the nearby school while it poured for about 45 min. While we were waiting for the rain to stop we sang songs in English and Spanish for the people. When it stopped raining we finished the program and then we went to Benito Juarez for the night.
