Argentina

Argentina is known for its excellent natural resources and breathtaking landscapes. The highest and lowest points in the western hemisphere are both located in Argentina. The variety of this country includes everything from palm trees to penguins.

In the late 1800’s, Argentina was one of the wealthiest countries in the world. However, the 20th century was a difficult time period for Argentina, filled with political unrest and financial crises. Recent years are seeing a return to prosperity. Democracy was restored in 1983 and the financial situation has been improving steadily since a major depression in 2002. Argentina is now the world’s eighth most populous nation, with most of its population drawn from European sources, especially Spain and Italy.

However, in this setting of natural beauty and optimistic progress, there are people with deep internal hurts. Families are fragmented, many of the women are neglected, and teens are turning to wild parties and drug use in increasing numbers. Knowing that such needs abound, it would be the epitome of neglect to not at least pray for the people of Argentina, but you can do more than pray if the Lord leads you in that direction.

Seventy percent of those who attend church in Argentina are impressionable young people seeking for the truth. Unfortunately, many of them are given a Gospel of works, resulting in discouragement and disillusionment. Opportunities are opening all over the country to share about Christ, encourage families, and teach children about the Truth. Will you be one of those who take the Light of the Truth to Argentina?

TESTIMONY

Kaytra“I don’t think I realized until this trip how deep the love of God is. It has been so amazing seeing the love of God change people. But the cool thing is, He used us to show His love. Last night His love became evident through the testimonies that people shared. It is so totally awesome to be able to show others the love of God and see it direct their life.”
